Nancy Barnett is a compassionate individual, devoted to alleviating suffering. A lifelong resident of the "South Bay" in the Los Angeles area, Nancy is a California and nationally licensed Eastern Medical Practitioner. Combining Eastern and Western knowledge, she incorporates acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, intuition and metaphysical elements as well as lifestyle counseling into her treatment of emotional and physical distress and disease.
Since 1990, Nancy has run her own diverse and challenging healing practice. Once a successful real estate agent and financial planner, Nancy holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Business Administration. But Nancy's interest in holistic healing compelled her to pursue a career in that field. She attained a Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1989, and has since developed her healing expertise through years of intensive training and experience.
A multifaceted and intuitive healing practitioner, Nancy has used her unique blend of critical and linear thinking and problem solving with a fine-tuned intuitive and mystical approach to help relieve a wide range of symptoms and to reduce a vast amount of suffering.
Because of her varied background, Nancy has the capacity and skill of traversing the two worlds of Eastern and Western medicine, and creating a gentle but powerful bridge between these two worlds. She has worked closely with Western physicians, including oncologists, orthopedists, general medical doctors, psychotherapists, and chiropractors.
Nancy has served as an onsite acupuncturist for Little Company of Mary Hospital's Center for Health and Well Being. She has collaborated regularly with the Pacific Coast Breast Center in Torrance to provide patients adjunct care in their fight against cancer. And she is one of only two acupuncturists in Torrance Memorial Hospital's IPA.
